About F.A.I.T.H Homeschoolers...
* A valuable experience in a classroom environment.
* Weekly connection with other area home-schooled students and parents.
- FAITH homeschoolers goal is to strengthen the homeschool community by creating a Christian environment for learning, enriching the academic curriculum provided in our homes, and offering encouragement and support to the parents who are committed to the education of their children.
- Our classes provide supplemental educational experiences on a weekly basis to expand on the curriculum already being provided in a homeschooling environment.
- We meet every Wednesday from 8:45am to 12:00pm at Mountain Vista Baptist Church in Carson City, Nevada . Our school year consists of two sessions per year, spring and fall, offering opportunity for a student to participate in two classes per week.
- Our classes are taught by both teachers and vendors. A teacher in our program is defined as a parent who is qualified to teach a subject and has agreed to do so, on a volunteer basis. A vendor is someone who is qualified to teach a subject either through education or experience, which is subject to approval by the leadership team. This role is a paid position.
- The Leadership Team consists of a very committed group of volunteer parents who manage the operational duties of our organization. We function weekly with the help of many other volunteers who work as teacher aids, hall monitors, set-up and clean-up, etc
