Dear Parents -
It is our goal to provide a safe and fun learning environment that you and your children will enjoy coming to each and every Wednesday. Therefore, we ask that you please adhere to the following in order to show respect to everyone involved with FAITH Homeschoolers Co-op:
--Each week you will sign you and your children in at the front desk and pick up your name tags. Everyone will attend the "Welcome" together. Children will then be dismissed to their first period teacher, who will escort them to their classroom. Students will also be escorted to their second period class by an assigned adult. They will return to the fellowship hall with their second period teacher. You will need to sign them out and return name tags when you leave. All participants are expected to remain in the areas used by the co-op at all times. Everyone will wear a name tag in a visible location so that we can easily identify who is on the campus for F.A.I.T.H. and who is not part of our group. This is for the safety of everyone.
--You are responsible for your child's behavior at the co-op. Please do not assume someone else will be watching them except during the two class periods. If you need to leave your children for a few moments (ie. to take a child to the restroom), please ask another adult to watch them. And, out of respect for the other adult, please return quickly.
--"Wherever you are, be all there." Please refrain from cell phone/head phone use and anything else that is not necessary during the co-op. It is disruptive and distracting to others. Yes, emergencies do happen, but they do not happen every week. The children are our priority, let's give them the respect they deserve. Please silence your phone while in the facility.
--Please dress modestly. We know everyone has a different definition of modesty, so here are a few guidelines:
If you (moms) would not be comfortable with your 16-year old son or husband seeing another woman (or teenage girl) wearing it, then please don't wear it to the co-op.
If you (moms and dads) wouldn't be comfortable with grown men or teenage boys looking at your daughter wearing it, then please don't wear it to the co-op.
Same goes for boys - please no saggy pants.
Not trying to be harsh here, but we must protect our children's innocence and protect each other so that we do not become a stumbling block. We were created in God's image - Let's dress respectfully.
Bottom line: Let's all love one another and have a great semester!
In Christ's Love,
FAITH Homeschoolers
