Owner Cynthia Ferris-Bennett is a self-taught cook. For the past 25 yeras, she has been catering weddings and events as well as teaching cooking classes in various locations. But now, Sierra Chef has a cooking center. Her goal is to make everyone feel comfortable experimenting and learning the way her family made her feel comfortable as she was learning. She will be teaching the class Egg-septional!

In 1988, while on a rainy day trek in the Rohrmoos Tal, near Schladming, Austria, founder and Roastmaster, Christian Waskiewicz, was inspired with the vision to create Alpen Sierra Coffee Company in Lake Tahoe. Noxious Weed Control March 17th (FRI) 3pm-4:30pm - AdDress will be emailed out to those who sign up when we are told where to meet.
The NDA Noxious Weed Program was created to not only uphold the state statutes regarding noxious weeds, but to help landowners and managers with noxious weed control. The students will be learning all about the Noxious weeds and what to do when you see them or who to call. Jake will be teaching the students what the weeds look like and give lots of information about these weeds.
National Bowling stadium March 23rd (Thurs) 1pm-3pm 300 N. Center St, Reno
A trip to Reno's National Bowling Stadium is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This field trip does include watching a movie in their theater and a game bowling.

Wild Mustangs Training April 7TH (FRI) 1pm-3pm Address will be emailed out to those who sign up when we get the address.
The Nevada Department of Agriculture started the horse training program in 2000 and has since continued to be a popular program with the public.. In 2008, the horse-training facility relocated to the Northern Nevada Correctional Center Ranch to streamline operations and combine with the existing 40 acres of holding corrals and agricultural programs. Justin will show the students how they train the wild mustangs that they capture and he will give lots of information about the horses.

The Jr. Workshop Workshop #2will make fossils amoung other projects. If you have a student older than 3rd grade, who is not yet ready for dissecting, you can still sign them up for this workshop. The grade level is not strict and all the students will enjoy the experiments he/they perform.
The True Science Workshop #4will include dissecting a mamilian brain, heart, kidney, and liver. Mr. Meek will be bringing specimen for at least 30 students. Those who sign up earliest are guaranteed their own specimen to dissect, while those signing up later may have to share.
